FACTS: We all lived in a stress-filled world. The seemingly constant onslaught of stress we face every single day can wreak some havoc on our physical and mental health. But have you ever thought about how stress can affect your beautiful—and often delicate—skin?

Stress can cause wrinkles, dry skin, acne, those under-eye bags we all “love,” rashes, skin flushes, and so on, and it can also aggravate existing skin conditions like rosacea, eczema, and psoriasis.
More than Bubbles: What ingredients to create a moisturizing and bath ritual
No matter what levels of stress you’re facing, there are some key ingredients that have been proven both by science and our clients to offer that stress relief (and more!) you both need and want from that treasured time spent in your tub.
Epsom Salt. Mineral-rich Epsom salt can draw out toxins, help sore muscles, improve circulation, ease fibromyalgia pain, hydrate your skin, help improve skin conditions (like psoriasis, eczema, and other itch-causing conditions as well as sunburn pain and redness), improve sleep, AND relieve your overall stress.
Pink Himalayan Salt. Pure, unrefined salt provides trace minerals while detoxifying and purifying the skin as well as offering relief from some skin conditions (eczema, acne, and psoriasis) while also soothing and relaxing you while you’re enjoying your bath.
Arnica. This homeopathic wonder plant helps relieve pain, inflammation, stiffness, and bruising while also protecting your precious skin cells. And let’s be honest: When your body feels better, you feel better overall.
Organic Shea Butter. Organic shea butter is a rich emollient that is sustainably and ethically hand-harvested. As far as benefits to your beautiful skin, organic shea butter is your skin’s BFF. It can trap moisture, promote elasticity, protect against sun damage and age spots, fight infections, help keep skin looking younger and brighter (reduce those fine lines and wrinkles!), possibly help prevent acne, boost collagen production for plumper looking skin, help generate healthy skin cells, reduce the appearance of stretch marks and scarring, help with certain skin conditions (psoriasis, dermatitis, and eczema), and SO much more! And...all of this helps to relieve all of the stress your skin might be experiencing. Organic shea butter is also safe for nearly any skin type, so you can use it with the utmost confidence that it will show your skin some TLC in the safest ways possible.
Organic Flower Essences. Our “Zen Blend” flower essence brings health, harmony, and happiness to your body and your mind, perfect for whenever you seek inspiration, calm, and balance. Basically, botanicals, like our “Zen Blend,” can release calming essential oils into your bathwater which can be absorbed through your skin, calming your mind and your body.
If dry skin is an irritating issue for you in the winter months or any time during the year, in addition to the ingredients we’ve shared above, try adding coconut oil, oatmeal, honey, milk (full cream works wonders!), aloe vera, or jojoba, almond, avocado, or olive oil to your bathwater to keep your skin hydrated and happy all day long.

Winter Skincare Routine: Soak in this Bath Ritual
It seems we can’t get this world to stop turning long enough to take a break. Fortunately, there is one simple way to bring the warm glow back to your skin (and your soul). This bath ritual is full of remedies for dry skin in winter, that soothes your dry, itchy skin and help you soak away the stresses of the season in a short amount of time.
- Draw a steaming bath and drop in luxe Bath Truffles + shea and aloe infused Wash.
- Set your intention and say it aloud. Your intention is a guiding principle that helps to focus your thoughts where they need to be, For example, you might say “my intention is to find balance” or “my intention is to open my heart.”
- Immerse for 10-20 minutes. Breathe deeply and focus on your intention. When your mind wanders (and it will), bring it back to the present moment by noticing the gentle scents and warm waters surrounding you.
- Rinse to reveal smooth, silken skin and a rejuvenated spirit.
- For added softness, apply Lotion + Body Oil while your skin is still damp.
- “Zip” your energy. Imagine that you have a zipper from the soles of your feet to the crown of your head. Envision sealing up your peace and serenity as you slowly “zip” yourself up.

You—and your beautiful skin—face so many things day in and day out that can negatively affect your skin and all aspects of your health. Making the time to pamper yourself and your skin through the bath routine we’ve shared can go a long way towards leaving all that stress out in the world. Which is exactly where it belongs.
